Workers Compensation Insurance
The most controllable insurance expense is Workers’ Compensation, because the losses that drive both direct and indirect program costs can be substantially reduced through aggressive claims and exposure management. FireLife’s specialists start this process by helping you design and develop a comprehensive, strategic program. We continue our support through all phases of plan implementation and day-to-day program management.
Step One: Risk Assessment and Program Design
FireLife surveys your current program and thoroughly assesses your needs, analyzing all aspects of your company’s exposures, claims history and current workers’ compensation management practices. Then we draw from our extensive experience to make practical, cost-effective recommendations as part of an appropriate action plan.
Step Two: Risk Control
Once exposures have been identified, FireLife’s Risk Control team works with you and your insurance carrier to create an effective safety program and to build a successful safety culture. Whether your needs center on ergonomics, material handling, forklift training, hazardous substance control, job site surveys, hearing conservation programs or virtually anything else, FireLife has the people and programs to help you control the risks you face.
Step Three: Claims Management
When a claim does occur, our Claims Consultants go to work to ensure that false claims are contested and that legitimately injured employees are fairly compensated and well cared for. We manage each claim with a goal of the earliest possible closure; investigating the injury or illness, facilitating appropriate medical care, anticipating and resolving potential problems and ensuring that case reserves are not excessive. Our goal is to help return your injured employees to maximum productivity as soon as possible.
Step Four: Ongoing Program Management
We regularly meet with your workers’ compensation team to assess your program’s progress and identify any necessary changes in strategy. We also track and report on loss trends, cost drivers, emerging issues and new cost control strategies and overall results as part of our ongoing program management.
Carriers
To ensure our clients competitive pricing and a customized fit, we utilize the following Workers Compensation Carriers: AIG, CNA, Hartford, Safeco, St. Paul Travelers, Clarendon, Chubb, Everest National, State Fund, ACE, and Employers Comp.
